style but it believes in culture, history, tradition practices, the stories of thousands of years ago,
harmony, ethnicity, arts and crafts and brother and sister hood.

The valley is the home of the hundreds of amazing monuments, sculptures, artiste, Holy temples,
Himalayas, Holy ponds, ancient cities, histories from 12th and 18th centuries.
The valley is situated in a bowl-shaped in the center of Nepal at the elevation of 1350 m from the

1. Baudhanath is the most sacred sites in Tibetan Buddhism outside of Tibet. The original temple have been built by an old woman and her sons. The current the structure is about 14th century. 2. Kathmandu Durbar Square remains the focal point of city. It symbiosis of Hinduism,
Buddhism and tantrism, which shows unity in the diversity. The colorful festivals makes

5. Pasupathinath  Deriving its Name from the Sanskrit root "Pashu" a reference to the animals and "Nath" a protector, Pashupatinath in nepal completes the 13th  Jyotirlingas of Shiva and is considered as equally pious and pure as Kedarnath temple in India.  Bagmati river banks in the present day Kathmandu valley has a historical narrative of how Shiva and Parvati both came to stay besides the river. Shiva found the energy of the place perfect to carry out his spiritual journey. Shiva and Parvati in the form of a deer had stayed by the river banks. the Gods in the heavens were worried about their prolonged absence from Kailash and hence they requested shiva to return to his abode, but the  Bagmati valley had so entrenched Shiva that he and Goddess Parvati refused to return. the ensuing fight resulted in one of the Antlers being broken and dropping at the site of present day Pashupatinath temple which was worshiped as the first Lingam.

 

6. Syambhunath


Thamel is the biggest tourist market in Nepal which lies in the hearth of Kathmandu. The large number of hippies residing here in between the 1960s and 1970s smoking, cannabis and drugs.
