Chandragiri's beguiling natural beauty is a great draw for vacationers, captivating them from the very beginning of their voyage. Situated on the outskirts of Kathmandu, Lalitpur and Bhaktapur, the capital cities of Nepal, Chandragiri offers a tranquil respite from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, as well as stunning views and a chill in the air. Depending on the time of day, one may even be able to catch a glimpse of the majestic Himalayan mountain range.

Chandragiri Hill offers an awe-inspiring and extraordinary vista of the Kathmandu Valley and Himalayan ranges from its summit. From Chandragiri, the panoramic view of lofty hills and opulent scenery is nothing less than celestial. I have visited this place several times with my friends, and I have included it in my list of favorite places in Kathmandu. It is not season-dependent.


We meandered with our association, "Youth for positive change." For the remainder of the time, I utilized a cable car. I routinely visit there for reminiscence. This place is renowned for its winter snow play. I can always witness the hills from my rooftop. Each year when I observe the hill with its snow-capped peak in winter, my heart stirs with immense exhilaration. I couldn't resist running towards it then, and I still feel the same now. It is simply sublime.
We traipsed with our collective denominated "It is said that late King Prithivi Narayan Shah, who was undertaking a quest to amalgamate Nepal divided in 22 and 24 provinces, was enthralled by the loveliness of Kathmandu Valley perceived from Chandragiri. He, then was spurred to take possession of the Valley. 

According to Hindu legend, Chandragiri is presumed to be the site where Sati Devi's visage detached from her body while the sorrowful Lord Shiva meandered helplessly across the planet, toting her lifeless form in his arms to be burned. Sacred records of Lord Mahadev's genesis can be found at the Bhaleshwor Temple; 'Bhale' being the Sanskrit word for 'forehead'. Chandragiri is deemed to be an exceptionally divine and abundantly picturesque hill. Within a few years, Chandragiri Hills Ltd has become one of the most visited getaway places in the nation. With a variety of activities to captivate and divert visitors of all ages, the spot is now the absolute hub for amusement. However, the project does not plan to conclude there. By the termination of 2018, a 100-room boutique hotel, an adrenaline-packed amusement park with two 900 meter long zip lines, and a natural history exhibition gallery, illuminating the biodiversity and atmosphere of the area, will be officially opened.

The sweetest village of the Himalayas

2016,September Ghandruk vill age (1,940 m), a culturally inhabited region of Nepalese Gurung community. The village is located in Kaski district, in between Lumle and Dangsing village. It’s one of the most recognized overnight halts during the trekking time in Annapurna region. The village also attracts local travelers from across the country. Why Newa Lahana? The food is delicious, cooked right in front of you. Please note they have two different area of sitting. If one of them is crowded do not hesitate to ask for the different sitting area couple of blocks away. The food is made with love. You can also order homemade alcohol (Local Rakxi) do not forget to try this. Some might find this place a bit unhygienic though so be aware of what you are getting into.
