Mardi - the cosmos of Himalayas
The journey would take you on an amazing trek to Mardi Himal Base Camp, right in the laps of Machapuchre and Mardi Himal Mountain. A few-day trek that start with our team but soon turn into more people. As is often the case for trekkers, you will come across many like-minded people on the Great Himalaya Trails.
My exciting adventure began from Kade. I was sick but, i had already booked flight for Pokhara. The day before my trek started, I visited doctor . My parents were not allowing me to leave home for a trekking. I didn't listen them. When i reached Pokhara. I felt fever and all my joined were paining. I Kept my stuffs in Hotel and move from there for Kade. The steep trails from Kade to the Australian Camp hinted of the challenges lying ahead. If the weather is cooperating mesmerizing view of mountains give audiences from the Australian Camp. In Pothana you can rest your boots, fill your bellies and exchange traveling stories. However, soon enough you can on your way to Deurali.
Low Camp is a large open space with scattered tea-houses and cottages, trekkers, porters and backpackers with the gracefully smiling Mount Fishtail in the background. You’re your backs, breathed in relief and awe at the view, make peace with your bellies, capture some photographs and before you know it, it will be time to say your goodbyes to Low Camp. The elevation continued to rise along with the frequently changing weather and cloud patterns.
At one point, you be lucky enough to witness a gorgeous Annapurna mountain range from Badal Dada. However, that too disappear among the clouds within minutes. Continuing along the trail, leaving the forest behind, trekking up the steep mountain path with yellow grass, clouds rumbling beneath you – You feel nothing as your heart is too busy smiling.
After a few hours you will arrive at the High camp. The mountains will still playing ‘peek a boo’ with you but by sunset she (Mountains) will decides to show up. You don’t leave until the decreasing temperature force you to hop into your warm blankets. With the excitement of seeing her up close and dreaming about being in her arms the following day, you will go to bed. With the first rays of sunlight, she will be there just as you leave her last night, waiting. With a few bottles of water, snacks and the spirits of the mountain, you will be up and running. The closer you go, the more adventurous and challenging the trails become. To be honest, the weak heated will definitely question themselves, “What the hell am I doing here? This is so going to be your last trek if you return back safely”. And then a thought comes back knocking; it’s better to look back on life and say, “I can’t believe I did that” than to look back and say; “I wish I did that”.
Knowing the mountains are with you every Step of The way your heart swells with pride and joy. You will be having the time of your life beholding the mountains, feeling the clouds, letting your soul and spirit fly. In the laps of the mountains: Annapurna South, Himchuli, Mardi Himal, Machhapuchre – you feel infinite like never before. You get lost and the best part is that you don’t want to be found. In fact, you’d much rather be here, forever, being lost. One fine feeling that is. You will be awestruck when witnessing an avalanche towards the south of Annapurna, adding another chapter in your stories to tell.
As you walk along the mountains,
listening to its
silence and echoes of your inner selves, you feel
part of it.
You think going up is hard but wait until
you hit this trail. Try coming down
from base to
high camp through heights that make your heart
shiver, you will find out how wrong you were.
